The Jones County Livestock Club are doing great things! After practicing diligently for the past several weeks we are proud to say we held our own ground at the TriLivestock Skillathon Contest in Sampson County on March 10th. Our teams consisted of: Team A: Ashley Murphy, Logan Murphy, Paul Pike. Team B: Cheyenne Pike, Brandon Gillen, Evan Andrews. With several newcomers to the team, I think we did awesome! Team A was able to hold on to the Stockman's Bowl first match with a score of 6 to -1. But, we were unable to hold off Wayne County in match 2! In overall standings, we are happy to announce that Paul Pike placed 7th in overall high score individual Junior livestock judging and Ashley Murphy placed 1st in overall high score individual junior skillathon! If anyone is interested in coming by for a practice and seeing if you like it. We would love to have you! See Mary Murphy - Jones County Livestock Club Leader or Margaret Bell - Craven/Jones Livestock Agent, for more details.
